The objective was to reuse as many elements as possible from the telescopic grandstand and the parterre seating of the former exhibition center and relocate them to L’Illiade, the new exhibition center located about 2 km away. Then, to build a new telescopic grandstand with greater capacity, capable of moving within the hall, while reusing as many parts as possible from the former grandstand. The new 665-seat Husson International grandstand was to form a homogeneous ensemble and harmonize as much as possible with the preserved elements. Challenge met.
All the functions of the grandstand are centralized on a control unit, which allows the grandstand to be moved linearly within the hall to free up or reconfigure the space, to automatically adjust the capacity with partial configurations, and also to open and close the grandstand thanks to limit sensors, ensuring smooth operation and optimal safety.
